What is structured cabling?
Structured cabling is a standards-based way of wiring a building so that data, voice, Wi-Fi, cameras and building systems all run over one organized physical layer. Instead of point-to-point cables added one at a time, a structured cabling system is planned as six connected subsystems: the entrance facility where carrier lines arrive, the equipment room and telecommunications rooms (MDF and IDFs) that hold racks and switches, backbone cabling that links those rooms across floors and buildings, horizontal cabling that runs to each outlet, and the work area where devices plug in. Built this way, moves, adds and upgrades become patching jobs instead of rewiring projects.
Copper network cabling: Cat6 and Cat6A
Our structured cabling services cover Cat6 and Cat6A horizontal cabling for workstations, wireless access points, phones, cameras and building systems. Every run is pulled to TIA standards, properly supported, terminated and certified with a cable tester, so each link is proven to meet its rated performance. For new construction and Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 deployments we usually recommend Cat6A, which carries 10 Gb across the full 328-foot channel and handles higher-power PoE.
Fiber optic backbones and data center cabling
We install single-mode and multimode fiber optic backbones between floors, buildings and data rooms, along with rack builds, patch panels, APC by Schneider Electric racks, PDUs and UPS power, and cable management that still looks organized years later. Clean, documented data center cabling makes troubleshooting faster and expansion simpler.
Network cabling installation for moves and refreshes
Not every project starts with bare walls. We handle network cabling installation for office moves, tenant improvements and refreshes of existing buildings: removing abandoned cable, cleaning up crowded IDFs, re-terminating patch panels and adding drops for new access points and cameras, scheduled after hours or in phases so your team keeps working.
Testing, labeling and documentation
Every structured cabling project closes out with certification reports, labeling at both ends of every cable and as-built drawings that show exactly what was installed and where. That documentation is yours to keep and pays for itself during audits, moves and future expansion.
Cameras, access control and other low voltage work
The same technicians who install your cabling also handle the systems that run on it. See our low voltage contractor services, commercial security camera installation and access control installation, all cabled to the same standard and integrated with your network.
